• Bukola Saraki was born Abubakar Bukola Saraki in 1962,he has been the Senate President of Nigeria since  2015.

• Saraki was the Governor of Kwara State under the platform of PDP (People's Democratic Party) he ruled the state from 2003 to 2011,while he was the governor of Kwara statee,he invited displaced white farmers from Zimbabwe to Kwara State and gave them the opportunity to farm,this was called the Shonga Farm programme. 
• After his 8 years reign,he was elected to the Senate in 2011 under PDP,he later switched to APC (All Progressive Congress) where he contested in the March 2015 election and was elected,he represented the Kwara central senatorial district.
• Saraki has currently decamped back to PDP and has declared his intention to  to vie for the Office of President of Nigeria,under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
• Bukola is married to Toyin they have four children,he also has two traditional titles namely the Turaki of the Fula emirate of Ilorin and the the Wazirin Gari of IIorin.
• Saraki was one of the serving Nigerian governor to be awarded the National Honor of Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) back in 2010.
